Connect every bakery shift to the work recorded

Plan night production, oven, counter and morning service on one roster, then manage attendance and cover as the day develops.

Vaktos for bakeries at a glance

Build the production and service roster, publish it to staff, record attendance, offer open work to eligible colleagues and prepare approved hours.

Bakeries use the core Vaktos product. Industry presets currently exist for Hotel and Hospital. A bakery operation customises its own departments and job titles rather than selecting a bakery preset.

Bring production and service onto one schedule

Vaktos combines the roster with a phone clock, shared kiosk, leave, breaks, overtime, optional hour bands, open shifts, shift swaps and coverage correction. It does not manage recipes, production or demand forecasting.

Plan night production and counter shifts on one board.

Schedule the whole bakery day

Night production, oven work and counter service have different rhythms but share the same staffing questions. Vaktos connects their published assignments with attendance and open-shift cover, without extending into production management.

Where a connected shift record helps

  • Production and counter teams are working from different schedules.
  • A short-notice absence turns into an unstructured call-around.
  • Night and weekend totals are rebuilt after the period ends.

Test any shift system with the bakery’s real operating week: early starts, overnight work, counter opening and the roles eligible to cover each gap.

Important details

  • Assisted scheduling can propose assignments as editable drafts; a planner remains responsible for review and publication.
  • There is no bakery industry preset; customise departments and roles to match the bakery.
  • Vaktos is not a POS, production, recipe or demand-forecasting system.

Frequently asked questions

Is Vaktos configured as a separate bakery product?

No. Bakeries use the same roster and attendance tools as hotels, shops and other shift teams. Built-in industry presets currently cover Hotel and Hospital department labels and job titles; bakeries customise departments and roles for their own operation.

Can bakery staff clock night work from a phone?

Yes. Staff normally clock against their published night shift from the home-screen web app, or use a shared PIN kiosk. If a mobile request cannot be sent, both clock-in and clock-out can queue on that device until connectivity returns.
